Melanie Duhamel

Project Manager


Melanie serves as the focal point for the control of the project and acts as the point of contact for the Ontario Genomics Institute, the project sponsor.  She oversees research and financial reporting, and undertakes project coordination responsibilities.  She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and has experience working in engineering consulting.

Weijun Gao
University of Toronto

Weijun provides IT support for BEEM researchers and BioZone at the University of Toronto. His responsibilities include managing networks, servers and workstations, developing websites and web applications, as well as assisting researchers with databases, analysis, data sharing and backup. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and previously worked in the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto.

Christina Heidorn

Communications Manager

Christina is a former researcher and television documentary producer whose job it is to foster collaboration by keeping all members of BEEM connected and informed.  She is responsible for the website, external communications and outreach to help bridge the gap between academic researchers and the general public.

Endang Susilawati

Technician/Technologist

Endang Susilawati (Susie), Lab Manager, University of Toronto
In addition to managing daily lab activities and equipment maintenance in several labs, Susie provides assistance to students, researchers and post-doctoral fellows.
